Challenges in marketing video production for complex SaaS platforms
The primary challenge was turning a highly technical product into marketing content that could hold attention and communicate value quickly.
The platform contained specialised information about HVAC systems, insulation calculations, compliance, and carbon reporting. Showing every feature in detail would have made the video feel like a software tutorial. However, simplifying it too far could have weakened its credibility among technical viewers.
The marketing video therefore needed to balance product accuracy with accessible storytelling. It had to show enough of the real platform to build trust while using 2D motion graphics to explain its wider benefits to decision-makers.
