Sarhad is a deeply emotional short film by Adhyay Productions and director Deepak Adhyay, exploring the courage, sacrifice, and humanity of soldiers at the national border. Spark VFX Studios served as the co-producer and the lead VFX and post-production partner, handling all visual effects, motion design, title graphics, and marketing visuals.
Our Delhi NCR–based creative technology and VFX studio brought cinematic realism to every explosion, bullet impact, and smoke trail, ensuring each frame carried emotional depth and authenticity. Beyond post-production, Spark also crafted trailers, title sequences, and promotional graphics to reinforce the film’s thematic and visual tone.

Creating high-quality, believable VFX within an independent film’s budget was the central challenge. The border-attack sequence required realistic grenade explosions, smoke simulations, bullet trajectories, and debris — all without compromising narrative realism.
Our team developed a hybrid approach using practical FX references blended with digital elements, enabling a cinematic look at an indie scale. Maintaining emotional continuity through color grading and cohesive tone across scenes was another critical priority. Explore similar rendering craftsmanship in our project library.
The primary objective was to elevate Sarhad beyond indie constraints, positioning it visually on par with high-production-value short films. Spark aimed to merge emotional storytelling with technical excellence — making viewers feel the tension, beauty, and humanity behind every frame.
